A wonderful and patient teacher with a wonderful sense of humor in an engaging way of dealing with the students. So willing to help. I enjoyed the class more than anything I've enjoyed in a long long time. I have never drawn before and after I left the class I felt like I could at least do a simple drawing of a landscape. Thank you so much Lawson

It was really nice to sit at the tables in the park and share techniques with the other participants. I really liked the dice for the activity to get us out of our comfort zone.

Title or Location: Missy
This is Missy, our cat we adopted from Miss Winkles in Fresno, Ca. I paint in oils and have done some Pet portraits this last year, so I decided I wanted to use her as a model. Believe me she wasn?t impressed. My painting studio is in my home and to her the best thing I do is let her sit in my easel chair. Got to love her. Thank you for requesting I submit

During the quarantine, 2020, my fianc? back then became increasingly frustrated with the Covid-lockdown, especially since he missed out on deer during the previous hunting season. To lift his spirits, I surprised him with a painting titled ?Deer for My Dear in Oil.? He was deeply thrilled, filled with happiness and pride upon receiving it.I have been following multiple artists online and have enrolled in several of their courses to hone my skills. I am a Filipina nurse, a mother, and a gra

Acrylic on canvas attached to plywood, will be used as a wall panel in a campervan, cut-outs to accommodate electrical outlets. I live in the central Sierra Nevada mountain region and have always found peace and fulfillment in a scene such as this. It?s my heaven on earth. This is not a specific place but my depiction of an area similar to that of Mt. Ritter and Banner Peak.

Fresno Art Group wow! Thank you very much very honored to be considered. My name is David Everwine. I was a union painter for almost 30 years now retired. I was in charge of the artistic painting which allowed me to work on some incredible projects. I had to medically retire a few years ago due to my body being worn out. I started painting as a creative outlet just to pass time. Because of my background with different materials, most of my art is mixed media. This piece is entitled Tempus Fugi

My art "Authenticity"This piece represents my journey of transformation ? a journey of becoming the truest and most authentic version of myself. It is about releasing limiting beliefs, breaking free from old patterns, and leaving behind the masks I once wore to fit expectations and seek acceptance. The act of removing the mask symbolizes letting go of the false identities that no longer serve me and embracing who I truly am.At its heart, this artwork carries a powerful message: be aut

Title or Location: My Favourite Toy
This is Marley, one of my loopy border collies. I managed to take the reference photo for this drawing in one of his quiet moments, while he was hugging his favourite toy and stopping his brother Bob from stealing it! It was a challenge drawing him on pastelmat as I'm not too experienced with it but quiete happy with how he came out! He's drawn in a mix of faber castel polychromos, caran d'ache luminance and some derwent drawing pencils.

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
