If you love all things nature, this is the art class for you! In this class, we will be conducting primary observation studies of flowers and plants. You will get the chance to admire plants and flowers up close and learn how to confidently create inspired drawings with pencil and fineliner pens. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the process of drawing the beautiful plants and flowers that nature has to offer. We will cover topics such as simplifying shapes, creating texture and detail, and using colours to enhance your drawings. This is a perfect opportunity for both beginners and more experienced artists alike to meet up and create art in a welcoming and relaxed environment. Our friendly instructors will provide guidance, helpful feedback, and support along the way, to generate new ideas for your art practice, and collaborate in a like-minded space. Join us in the wonderful outdoors to create your very own unique pieces and develop your drawing skills!

It was really nice to sit at the tables in the park and share techniques with the other participants. I really liked the dice for the activity to get us out of our comfort zone.

I created this art piece with graphite pencils on Strathmore 400 drawing paper. For the past few years most of my artwork has been drawing on my IPad with an Apple Pencil, however, more recently I?ve been inspired by a couple of great artists (Lauri Lipton & Joe Fenton) to get back to the basics of traditional artwork. I?m working on new pieces all the time and looking forward to share my next one!

As the sun dippes below the rugged horizon, it's golden rays embrace Yousemit?s Half Done in a breathtaking farewell. The sheer face of the monolithic granite formation blushed with hues of amber as the mountain itself holds its breath in awe. As the last ember of daylight vanishes behind the silhouette, Half Dome stands as a silent testament to nature?s grandeur, etching its brilliance into the souls of all who witness this celestial dance. Title or Location: "Montana Ranch".
The watercolour is of a group of Hereford cattle grazing the grasses of the high plains in Montana with the foothills of the Rockies visible in the distance. I tried to keep my style loose by using a large brush and holding it higher up. I also worked without my glasses on. W&N tube paints were used on 140lb cold pressed paper.
